On Tuesday the Burleson Heights and Burleson-Parker neighborhoods will be celebrating National Night Out, an annual event that promotes neighbors knowing neighbors and working together to prevent crime.

Turn on your porch lights, bring a flashlight and join your neighbors for an outdoor celebration in your area. Officer Raymond Lopez, our Austin Police Department District Representative, is scheduled to attend both events.

Burleson Heights: Meeting and light snacks, 6-8:30 p.m., 2809 Ware Road
Burleson-Parker: Potluck supper, 6-9 p.m., 3201 Laguna Drive
